This rubber bar mat measures 30 by 45 cm and is designed for the busiest part of your bar: the area where you pour, shake, and set down glasses. The rubber catches drips in its open structure, keeping the surface you work on dry.
Room for the entire pouring station
Measuring 30 by 45 cm, it fits your jiggers, a shaker, and two or three glasses at the same time. That is exactly the space where a cocktail is assembled, and therefore where most of the moisture ends up. The mat keeps that moisture below the work surface, so glasses do not stick to the bottom and your bottles stay dry. The rubber also provides cushioning: glasses make less noise when set down and are less likely to chip or break. Combine it with a speed rail for your most frequently used bottles.
Positioning and cleaning
Place the mat on a dry surface and smooth it out so no air remains underneath. At the end of the shift, lift it up to dispose of the collected moisture and rinse it; otherwise, sugar from syrups will make it sticky. Let the mat dry flat and do not roll it up while wet. For longer bars, there are roll-up mats that you can cut to size; you can find those and other sizes under bar mats, while non-slip mats are available for serving.
