It's the first thing you offer when someone walks through your door. Nothing grand, just: “Would you like something to drink?” You walk to the cupboard, take a glass — and really, the evening has already begun.
At home around the table, at the bar, or on a waterside terrace: offering someone a drink means the same thing everywhere. A warm atmosphere. Hospitality. A moment to spend together. That's why we do what we do, with passion and a love for the craft.
It began on the Achtergracht
More than thirty years ago, Horeca Centrum Amsterdam opened its doors on the Achtergracht, right in the heart of the city. A family business where Amsterdam pub owners, restaurateurs, and chefs came in for everything they needed. Often with a story to tell, usually with an order, and sometimes simply for a cup of coffee.
HCA is still going strong — now in its second generation. The same family, the same street, the same way of working: you know your customers, you know what they need, and you tell them honestly when something isn't right.
Passed down from home
Rory Lamperjee, owner of Glazen.nl, has been an entrepreneur since he was eighteen. Not because that was ever the plan, but because he grew up with it. At the kitchen table, conversations were about suppliers, orders, and how to help someone properly. It stays with you.
In 2024, Glazen.nl joined us: everything the family has learned in three decades in the hospitality industry, now also available for your home. We are part of Lamperjee Hospitality B.V., co-owner of HCA.
We don't sell glassware. We sell the beginning of an evening.
Who we are
We started in 2024 with five people from different corners of the world. Small enough to know each other by name, yet different enough to learn something from one another every day. One knows the hospitality industry from the inside out; another knows exactly how to make a glass look its best in a photo.
What unites us: every day, we work on the site as if it were our own business. Because it is.
What we stand for

We don't lose sight of that. From packaging to the distribution chain, we try to keep our impact as small as possible. Not with grand promises, but by continuously optimizing and improving things bit by bit. A glass that lasts for years is sustainability too—which is why we prefer lasting quality.
