Square 10 cl glass bitters bottle from the Speakeasy collection, with a dasher top for dispensing bitters and tinctures. The flat sides keep the bottle stable on your work surface, even when it is placed among the other bottles. Designed for bartenders who work with their own infusions.
Dispense by the drop
Bitters are used in small quantities: a few drops can adjust the balance of an Old Fashioned or a Sazerac. The dasher top helps you keep the dosage consistent, even during a busy shift when you are working by feel. Give the bottle a short shake over the glass and count the dashes, just as you count when pouring. The square shape feels comfortable in the hand and will not roll across the bar. Keep the bottle within reach next to your bar spoons, so you can grab it immediately while stirring.
Filling, labeling, and keeping it clean
Ten centiliters is a practical size: enough for an entire shift, but small enough to place several flavors side by side. If you work with homemade tinctures, fill the bottle using a funnel and attach a label stating the date and contents. Rinse the bottle and top with warm water after emptying, and let them dry separately; bitters can build up in the spout.
