The bowls are 22 and 28 cl, compact enough to fill generously and small enough to put several of them on the table. The 35 cl tumbler and the 40 cl long drink glass are the larger sizes, suited to water, soft drinks and ice. For sparkling wine there is an 18 cl flute, and for after dinner an 8 cl liqueur glass and a 14 cl tea glass. The pouring pieces are a one-litre wine carafe, a water jug of just over a litre and a 75 cl whiskey decanter, which is also available as a set with tumblers.

Put the water jug on the table instead of bottles: it keeps ice and slices of lemon together and you can top people up without getting to your feet each time. The 18 cl flute is the size for an aperitif, for instance an aperol spritz if you want to keep it narrow. After the meal out come the 8 cl liqueur glass and the 14 cl tea glass, which suit a limoncello spritz or simply something cold from the freezer.

Luxion is lead-free crystal and harder than the traditional kind, so you can simply use this series every day and put it in the dishwasher. The fine line pattern holds less soap than deep cutting, but limescale does show up in it. Rinsing and polishing dry makes the biggest difference. Wash the carafes by hand, because the neck is too narrow to rinse out properly.

If what you want within this same brand is a more outspoken pattern, all the series are lined up at RCR. The jug from this series can be compared with other models under the water jugs, and the 75 cl decanter stands next to alternatives under the whiskey decanters. To set the bowls beside larger models, look at the white wine glasses. For washing out that narrow decanter neck, a glass brush is the handiest tool.
