With the Clear Ice Box from Bar Professional, you can make crystal-clear ice at home or behind the bar, just like in the finest cocktail bars. This mold produces three long ice spears that fit perfectly in a highball or long drink glass. Because the water freezes directionally from top to bottom, air bubbles and impurities are pushed toward the bottom. The result: crystal-clear ice that melts slowly and keeps your drinks from becoming diluted as quickly.
How directional freezing works
Fill the white plastic box with water, place the insert with the three spear compartments inside, and put the whole unit in the freezer. The insulated walls guide the freezing process so that the ice freezes clear from the top down. After approximately 18 to 24 hours, you can remove three perfectly shaped, crystal-clear ice spears from the mold. The box measures 20.5 x 16 x 12 cm, so it fits in most freezers. Cleaning is easy: the mold is dishwasher-safe.
