At 55 cl, this is the largest wine glass in the Tre Sensi range. The wide bowl gives red wine the air it needs without making the glass awkwardly large on the table.
Room to breathe for red wine
Pour a standard serving and you will not even fill a third of the glass. That empty space is the point: it allows the aromas to gather and softens firm tannins within a few minutes. You can find similar bowls among the large wine glasses. Yet the bowl remains narrow enough to hold the glass comfortably by the stem.
Large glass, thin rim
With larger bowls, the rim is often made thicker to prevent breakage; the Tre Sensi range keeps it fine instead. Bormioli Rocco achieves this by producing to professional catering standards in Italy.
