The 58 cl Galileo Bordeaux glass is made for full-bodied red wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and blends that need time and air before they reveal themselves. Two handmade glasses per set.
The Bordeaux shape explained
A Bordeaux glass is tall and slightly tapered, allowing the wine to spread in a broad layer across the bottom and come into plenty of contact with the air. This helps soften the tannins and bring the dark fruit to the forefront. With a 58 cl capacity, you can pour it a quarter full and leave the rest of the bowl as room to swirl. Because the glass is mouth-blown, it remains light in the hand despite its volume, and the bowl never looks clumsy on the table.
