The three wine glasses cover the usual three-part range. The 37 cl is the white-wine size: narrow enough to keep the wine cold. The 41 cl is the medium size, suitable for both types of wine. The 65 cl is the Burgundy glass, with a rounded bowl in which full-bodied red wine can release its aromas. Choose this largest size only if you really use it for red wine, because white wine becomes lukewarm in it. For wine, follow the one-third rule: never fill the bowl more than one-third full, so you have room to swirl it. Hold the glass by the stem, not the bowl. Stölzle Lausitz makes the Classic from lead-free crystal glass, which is clearer than ordinary glass and copes with changes in temperature. Every piece may go in the dishwasher. Stand wine glasses upright and not too close together, because the thin rim is where damage starts. After a party, rinse straight away rather than leaving the glasses overnight: red wine and fruit acids will dull glass over time.
