The size determines what you use the pitcher for. The 0.25-liter pitcher is intended for a single serving: house wine by the glass or milk with coffee. The half-liter is the table size for water with a meal, large enough that you don't have to refill it every ten minutes and light enough to pour with one hand. The liter is the pitcher you fill with ice water, juice, or sangria for a group. Pour with the pitcher slightly tilted rather than abruptly upright, because Roxy’s wide spout produces a thick stream that would otherwise land beside the glass. Do not fill a pitcher containing ice above the bottom of the spout, because shifting ice will push the water out. When making sangria let the fruit steep in the pitcher for an hour before adding the ice. A mimosa should be poured by the glass rather than from the pitcher, otherwise the bubbles will disappear.

Roxy is made of pressed soda-lime glass, which gives it a thicker wall than blown glass and makes the jug less vulnerable to knocks. The jugs are dishwasher safe. Do not pour boiling water into a jug that has just come out of the fridge: with a thick wall in particular, the stress between the inside and the outside builds up sharply and the glass cracks.
