The question is which part of the bar you want to equip. If you only want to serve drinks, the 34 cl tumbler and the 37 cl highball glass are sufficient. The tumbler has the wide opening and heavy base you want for drinks over ice; the highball glass is narrower and taller, so a mixed drink retains its carbonation longer.

If you also want to mix drinks yourself, the 65 cl mixing glass and the jigger are the most useful. A mixing glass of that size holds a double serving plus ice without spilling over the rim when you stir. The jigger measures 3 and 6 cl, the quantities used by most classic recipes. Stir a Negroni in the mixing glass with large ice cubes and a bar spoon for about thirty seconds, then strain over a fresh ice cube in the 34 cl tumbler. Stirring instead of shaking keeps the drink clear, which is the whole point with an engraved glass.

First fill the 42 cl Moscow Mule mug completely with ice, and only then add the drink. A Dark 'n Stormy is served layered in that glass: first ginger beer over the ice, then gently pour the dark rum over it.

The engraving is cut into the glass rather than applied to it, so nothing can wear off or come loose. What can happen is that limescale builds up more easily in the deeper cuts if you use hard water and let the glasses air dry.

Use rinse aid for that reason. The Luxion crystal is lead-free and hard enough for the dishwasher, but store the carafe upright so no water stays behind in the neck.
