Arcoroc Elegance

Start with the drink that is poured most often. The 14.5 cl wine glass is a small serving glass for a tasting or a busy buffet; 19 cl is the size most function rooms keep for white wine, and with 24.5 cl you can also pour a full-bodied red generously without filling the glass to the rim. For sparkling wine you choose between three flutes of 10, 13 and 17 cl or the 16 cl coupe. Count on about one and a half glasses per guest and you will not be washing up halfway through.

Fill a wine glass to the widest point of the bowl and no higher, so you keep room for the aroma. Pour a flute in two goes, at an angle and down the side, so the head settles before you top up. The 16 cl coupe is the classic for a kir royal or a champagne cocktail with a sugar cube and a dash of bitters. The 27 cl margarita glass calls for a salt rim and a well-chilled margarita.

Elegance is made of tempered glass: the bowl is put under tension at the factory and therefore copes better with knocks and temperature changes than ordinary soda-lime glass. That makes the range suitable for the dishwasher and for the pace of table service. Place the glasses upright in the rack and do not let them knock against each other on the way, because a tempered foot is still a thin foot.
