Which Niveau goblet should you pick for white wine?
The 41 cl goblet. It is compact enough to keep the wine cold down to the last sip and wide enough to release the aroma. The 51 cl is meant for red wine, which needs more room.
Why does this glass have a layered relief?
The relief catches the light layer by layer and gives the bowl visible depth. Practically, it also gives grip, which helps with wet hands. The downside is that limescale stays visible in the structure if you do not dry the glass afterwards.
Is Onis Niveau dishwasher safe?
Yes, preferably on a low-temperature programme and with enough space between the bowls. Stemmed glasses almost always break at the join with the foot, and rarely from the heat itself.
How much do you pour into a 20 cl flute?
To about two thirds, poured at an angle against the wall so the foam stays low. That comes down to a normal serving of sparkling wine, with the narrow opening keeping the bubbles together for longer.
