Determine what you want to use the small glass for. For shots that are downed in one go, 7 cl is generously sized, so you fill it to about halfway; if you use the same glass for a liqueur or digestif, the size is more suitable. With the highball glass, the ratio matters most: 36 cl means it should be served with ice, otherwise the drink looks lost in it. For a table of six, one pack of each is enough, as both sizes come in packs of six.

Chill shot glasses before pouring, because a cold glass keeps spirits tasting sharper on the tongue for longer. On the overview page with shots you’ll find serves that fit this size. Fill the highball glass with ice first and only then add the liquid: with a gin and tonic a glass full of ice keeps the tonic fizzy longer than two separate cubes. The same applies to a Cuba Libre with the lime added before the cola, so the juice spreads throughout the drink instead of remaining on top.

Both sizes are made of Luxion, RCR's lead-free crystal glass. It is clearer than ordinary soda-lime glass and keeps that clarity even after repeated machine washing, which traditional lead crystal does not manage on its own. Place the shot glasses separately in the upper rack and do not nest them: two shot glasses jammed inside each other rarely come apart again without damage. Stand the highball glass upright in the lower rack so the water can run out.
