The difference between 34 and 37 cl sounds small, but it lies in the height and therefore in the use. The tumbler is low and wide, so a single large ice cube fits comfortably and you smell the drink while you sip: the shape for whisky, rum and an old fashioned. The highball glass is taller and narrower, which keeps the fizz in soft drinks and tonic going for longer.
