Arcoroc Westloop

Each glass in this series serves a different purpose, so choose based on the serve rather than the flavor. The 27 cl martini glass is spacious: good for high-volume cocktails such as a Cosmopolitan, but less convenient if you fill it to the brim and need to carry it. The 32 cl tumbler is the right size for whisky and an Old Fashioned. The 36 and 40 cl highball glasses differ in use: 36 cl for mixed drinks with a normal amount of ice, 40 cl if you fill the glass completely. The 32 cl cognac glass has a rounded bowl that traps aromas below the rim.

With a bulbous cognac glass, you don't warm the drink with your hand; that's outdated: pour 4 cl, leave the glass on the table, and swirl it once. The aroma will then gather naturally beneath the narrow rim. Fill the 40 cl highball glass Cuba Libre completely with ice before adding rum and cola, and squeeze the lime over the glass so the oil from the peel is included. For the martini glass, the rule is: chill first, then pour.

Krisal is glass that is given extra reinforcement during production, which makes it better able to handle changes in temperature. You notice that when a warm glass comes out of the dishwasher and you pour cold water straight into it. The heavy base also keeps the glasses stable in the crate. Place the cognac glass in the crate opening down, otherwise a pool of water is left sitting on the rounded wall.
