Gimber is a Belgian brand that makes a concentrated ginger drink. It was founded by the Belgian couple Dimitri Oosterlynck and Sylvie Schollier. The drink is organic and contains no alcohol. According to the label, the classic N°1 Original contains 33% ginger juice and 24% lemon juice, supplemented with water, cane sugar and an infusion of herbs.
Because it is a concentrate, you usually do not drink it straight from the bottle in a large glass. Take a small shot neat, or dilute it. The maker recommends 2 cl of Gimber with 15 cl of sparkling water. You can also mix it with hot water, milk or in a mocktail. There are also a few other flavors and a ready-to-drink sparkling version. Shake the bottle before use and refrigerate it after opening.

Spicy, refreshing, and slightly sweet
Sharp & warm
Neat, you mainly taste the ginger: sharp, with a warm glow at the back of your throat. Then comes the lemon.
Refreshing & spicy
With sparkling water, it becomes a kind of spicy ginger lemonade. Less sweet than most ginger ales.
Smooth & spicy
Hot water brings out the spiciness. Add a slice of lemon or some honey for a rounder flavor.
Flavor profile of Gimber N°1 Original, neat. Brut is less sweet, while Sweet Lilly is fruitier.
Three ways to drink Gimber
Gimber is a concentrate, so a little goes a long way. Always shake the bottle before pouring.
As a shot
Pour 2 cl neat into a small glass and drink it in one go. Many people drink it this way in the morning or as a pick-me-up during the day.
