The Pineapple tiki glass holds 50 cl and is shaped like a pineapple, with the scaly texture embossed in relief. It is generously sized enough for cocktails with crushed ice. Designed for tropical drinks on the patio, at themed parties, and in the home bar.
What fits inside
Fifty centiliters leaves room for approximately 15 to 18 cl of drink plus crushed ice filled to the rim. A piña colada is the obvious choice, but the glass works just as well for a painkiller, a rum punch, or a non-alcoholic pineapple-lime mix. The scaly texture provides a good grip, which is useful when the glass becomes covered in condensation from the ice on the outside. Garnish with a pineapple slice and mint; foliage from the dried garnish stays attractive longer than fresh fruit.
Choosing and cleaning
If you serve several tropical drinks, it is practical to assign one glass to each recipe and place the other sizes from the tiki glasses collection alongside them. Rinse immediately after use, as coconut milk and syrup stick to the scales in the embossed texture. A soft brush cleans the grooves; then leave the glass upside down to drain instead of drying it. For serving on a busy patio, trays with a non-slip surface are practical.
