This Moscow Mule glass from Bar Professional’s Speakeasy line holds 45 cl and has a curved, outward-flaring wall. Designed for mules and other long drinks served with plenty of ice and a generous garnish.
Serving a Moscow Mule
A mule has a simple structure in which the proportions make all the difference: vodka, fresh lime juice, and ginger beer, built over ice. Fill the glass three-quarters full with cubes, add the vodka and lime juice, and top up with ginger beer. Stir briefly once with a bar spoon, as excessive stirring drives the carbonation out of the ginger beer. Finish with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint, after first clapping it gently between your hands.
Choosing and maintaining it
The curved shape leaves room for garnishes and makes the glass wider at the rim, allowing the mint aroma to rise better than with a straight model. If you prefer a cleaner line on the bar, the straight 45 cl version is the logical choice. Wash on a normal cycle and place the glasses upright in the rack. More models can be found among the cocktail glasses; make the ice with molds from the ice cube molds.
