Bols Young Jenever
Bols's light, smooth drink: grain jenever with subtle notes of malt, juniper and citrus. Straight from the freezer, poured to the brim, and you'll remember why the Netherlands is jenever country.

The refreshing drink from the Bols range
Bols Young Jenever, also called Young Grain Jenever on the label, is a blend of botanicals and the malt distillate Lucas Bols makes from wheat, rye and corn. The result is a light and exceptionally smooth jenever with subtle flavors of malt, juniper and a hint of citrus.
Young says nothing about age, but everything about style. Young jenever contains little malt wine, making it fresher and drier than the Very Old Genever or Corenwyn from the same distillery. That makes it the bottle for an ice-cold drink, a kopstoot, or for anyone who wants to try jenever with cola or tonic.

How to pour Bols Jonge Jenever
Jonge genever should be cold. Store the bottle in the freezer, and it will become slightly syrupy and extra smooth.
Ice cold and filled to the brim
Pour about 3.5 cl straight from the freezer into a tulip-shaped shot glass, filling it until it bulges over the rim. Take the first sip while leaning forward, without lifting the glass.
Shot glasses →Genever and cola
40 ml Bols Jonge Jenever with 150 ml cola in a highball glass full of ice, with a lemon wedge. An old-fashioned Dutch long drink that brings out the citrus notes in the genever.
Highball glasses →Kopstoot with lager
A glass of ice-cold jonge genever beside a small glass of cold lager. First the genever, then the beer: the refreshing genever and bitter beer complement each other perfectly.

Jonge genever is lighter than gin, but works in the same refreshing classics. Swap the gin one-to-one and taste the difference.

Genever and tonic
Make a gin and tonic with jonge genever: smoother and maltier, with a slice of lemon.
Tom Collins
Lemon, sugar, and soda water with genever instead of gin. Light, tart, and thirst-quenching.
Fizz
Shaken with lemon and simple syrup, topped with soda. Made with jonge genever, it's a refreshing aperitif.More Bols flavors
