Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition
The fresh side of Caskmates. Smooth Jameson matured in casks that previously held IPA, taking on citrus and hops along the way. Made for long, cold highballs with plenty of fizz.
Hops and citrus in an Irish whiskey
Alongside the Stout Edition, this is the second collaboration between Jameson and beer brewers. This time, the whiskey is matured in oak casks that previously held India Pale Ale. IPA is a heavily hopped beer, and those hops leave their mark on the wood. The whiskey takes on citrus and a lightly hoppy character.
It starts with the same smooth, triple-distilled Jameson at 40%. The difference from the Stout Edition is striking: while that one is dark and chocolatey, the IPA Edition is fresh and slightly bitter. That makes it the Caskmates for summer, perfect for highballs with soda or ginger ale.

How to drink the IPA Edition
This Caskmates calls for ice and fizz. The hops and citrus come into their own in a tall glass.
IPA highball
Pour 50 ml Caskmates IPA into a highball glass filled with ice and top with 150 ml cold soda water. Stir briefly and squeeze a strip of lemon peel over the top.

Mix 50 ml Caskmates IPA with 150 ml ginger ale and a lime wedge over plenty of ice. The ginger softens the hops and makes the drink a little sweeter.

Pour 40 ml over a few large ice cubes in a tumbler. The chill makes it more refreshing and balances the light bitterness.
