Malibu Piña Colada
The cocktail Malibu was originally created for, now in a can. Malibu with coconut and pineapple, at 5% and without a blender. Open chilled, pour over ice and enjoy. If you want the authentic, creamy version, the recipe is below.

A Piña Colada without a blender
Malibu Piña Colada is ready to drink: a premixed cocktail in a 25 cl can, made with Malibu and coconut and pineapple flavors. The alcohol is already diluted to 5%, about the same as a regular beer. There’s no measuring or mixing required.
That makes it ideal for the beach, a festival or a picnic basket. It is a different drink from the cocktail served in bars, though: lighter, fizzier and less creamy, since it contains no coconut cream or blended ice. If you want the full, creamy version, make your own Piña Colada with Malibu Coconut, pineapple juice and coconut cream.
In brief
Coconut and pineapple, light and chilled
Pineapple and coconut
Sweet pineapple and coconut, instantly recognizable as Piña Colada.
Light and sweet
Sweet and fruity, lighter than the blended cocktail. You can barely taste the alcohol.
Short and tropical
A short, sweet finish with coconut. The colder it is, the more refreshing it tastes.
Flavor profile of Malibu Piña Colada from the can, served ice-cold over ice.
From the can or homemade
Drink the can as it is. The only things you can improve are the temperature and the glass; and if you have time, blend the real thing.
Over ice in a highball glass
Chill the can in the fridge for a few hours, then pour it over plenty of ice into a highball glass, with a pineapple wedge on the rim. That keeps it cold until the last sip.
Highball glasses →Homemade: the real Piña Colada
Blend 50 ml Malibu Coconut, 30 ml white rum, 90 ml pineapple juice, and 30 ml coconut cream with ice. Pour into a hurricane glass. Creamy and stronger than the can.
