The choice is mainly about the rim. The versions with a gold rim are meant for the look of the table and come in fours; the clear versions are also available in twelves and are therefore more practical if you are fitting out a whole bar or terrace. Functionally they are the same.

On size, the layout is clear. The 21 cl tumbler is a water glass, the 35.5 cl one a rocks glass for whisky or a cocktail on ice. The 50 cl gin and tonic glass has the balloon shape that leaves room for ice and botanicals. If you would rather compare within the brand, look at Pasabahce.

Fill a gin and tonic glass completely with ice first and only then pour. Plenty of ice melts more slowly than a little ice, so the tonic keeps its fizz for longer. In the 35.5 cl tumbler, a single large cube works best, because it gives off the least meltwater.

The 22 cl martini glass wants chilling beforehand, for instance for an espresso martini. The 26 cl coupe is wide and shallow, which makes it suitable for an aperol spritz with plenty of ice.

Crystalline glass is dishwasher-safe, but the relief holds water in its grooves. So place the glasses at an angle in the basket and dry them afterwards with a lint-free cloth, otherwise the drops leave marks in the pattern.

The gold rim is an applied layer and wants washing by hand in lukewarm suds. Aggressive detergents and high temperatures take the shine off, and that cannot be brought back.
