How much wine do you pour into a Magnum glass?
About fifteen centilitres, just as in an ordinary bowl. The extra capacity is there for the air above the wine, not for a bigger serving. Pour up to the widest point of the bowl and no higher.
Does a 160 cl glass fit in the dishwasher?
Usually not. The 140 cl model fits in the top basket of many machines, but the 160 cl is too tall for most dishwashers. With crystal glass this thin, hand washing is the wiser choice anyway.
What exactly is RCR's Luxion crystal glass?
Luxion is the lead-free crystal glass made by RCR. It combines high clarity and shine with a thin wall, without lead in the composition. That keeps the glass light in the hand and still strikingly transparent.
Why does wine open up faster in a large glass?
Because the surface of the wine is wider. More of it meets the air, so volatile aromas are released faster. With a young, closed red you clearly notice that difference in the nose after a few minutes of swirling.
