Work back from the number of people. Four guests and three rounds quickly means you want one pack of each size. The 6 cl shot glass is the smallest size and covers jenever, herbal bitters and liqueur, but it also serves as a shot glass if you pour it a little less full. The 29.7 cl tumbler is the glass that comes off the shelf most often, for water just as much as for juice. The 41 cl longdrink glass is the only size with enough room for ice plus a whole bottle of tonic or ginger beer.

With shots, temperature counts for more than shape: put both the bottle and the glasses in the freezer beforehand, and the drink turns syrupy and less sharp.
