The range comes in three shapes. The red wine glass of 63.8 cl has a wide belly in which you can swirl a full-bodied red without it going over the rim, because you fill a glass that size only to about a third. The white wine glass of 40.7 cl is narrower and keeps cool wine at temperature for longer. The champagne glass of 40 cl is roomier than a classic flute, which releases more aroma from mature champagne.

Choose your colour on the basis of what you do with it. Five glasses in five colours make clear who has which glass, which helps over a long evening; six glasses in one colour give a calmer table.

Always take Ink by the stem and not by the bowl. That shows more with this range, because fingerprints stand out against the coloured foot. Pour red wine to just under the widest point of the belly and white wine to about a third, so you keep room for the aroma. The champagne glass suits aperitifs you lengthen with bubbles, such as a kir royal or a mimosa: add the sparkling part last and along the wall, and you hold on to the fizz for longer.

Tritan takes the dishwasher and the colour sits in the material, so it does not fade. Wash on a short glassware programme and load the glasses so the stems do not touch, because that is where most breakage starts. Polish afterwards with a lint-free cloth, since traces of limescale show up more on coloured glass than on clear glass. When polishing, turn bowl and foot together in the same direction so you put no strain on the stem.
