The choice is straightforward. The Club S water glass of 25 cl is the small size, meant for water, juice and soft drinks with a meal. The Club L water glass of 40 cl is the big brother and has enough room for ice, which makes it work as a glass for a long mixed drink too. The Superglas Club No. 03 longdrink glass of 25 cl is narrower and taller and comes in twos, so you have a pair straight away.

When choosing, look above all at the ice. Plastic insulates slightly better than glass, but a drink with plenty of ice simply needs volume: count on 10 cl of drink plus 10 cl of ice and the small size is already full. For outdoors it is therefore better to go one size too big. The unbreakable glasses bring all the plastic models together, and you will find the shape comparison with real glass among the water glasses.

Plastic comes into its own as soon as the floor is hard and the table wobbles. On a terrace, in a boat, at a picnic or at a festival you can pick up a toppled glass and carry on. For a mojito that is extra welcome, because you press the mint down with a muddler and that is exactly the movement that finishes off thin glass.

An aperol spritz goes into the large size, with plenty of ice and the prosecco last. And at a table with children around, it is good that the same glasses work for mocktails as well, so everyone drinks from the same kind of glass without you having to watch out for shards. Do avoid hot drinks, because plastic is not made for those.

Plastic does not break, but it does scratch. That is the real difference in care: an abrasive sponge, sand in a beach bag or a knife in the sink leave marks that never come out again. So wash with a soft cloth and a mild detergent.

These glasses can go in the dishwasher, provided you put them in the top rack and choose a low-temperature programme. High temperatures can eventually warp plastic, leaving the glass no longer standing straight. Place them separately in the rack, because light material blows over in the water jet and then fills with dirty water. Do not store them in full sunlight.
