Esbjærg Copper
The copper version of Esbjærg: wheat vodka from Leeuwarden, traditionally distilled in a copper pot still. Silky and pure, with a grainy bite. The bottle for anyone who also wants to drink vodka neat.

Same wheat, a different still
Like regular Esbjærg, Esbjærg Copper comes from Boomsma Distillery in Leeuwarden. The base is also the same: wheat grain alcohol, filtered through activated charcoal. The difference lies in the distillation. Copper is traditionally distilled in a copper pot still instead of using the usual method.
During distillation, copper binds sulfur compounds, resulting in a rounder, cleaner distillate. The result is a silky, pure character with a grainy bite: a little more character than the standard bottle, without losing the neutrality you expect from vodka. It remains 40% ABV.
In short
Silky, with a grainy bite
Clean grain
A clean, light aroma with a clear grain note. No harsh alcohol burn.
Silky
Smooth and silky on the palate, lightly sweet from the wheat. You can taste the copper pot still here.
Grainy bite
A short, dry finish with a grainy bite that gives the vodka a little more character than regular Esbjærg.
Flavor profile of Esbjærg Copper neat and chilled. In a cocktail, its smooth texture is what stands out most.
Neat or mixed: three ways to enjoy Esbjærg Copper
Copper is made to be enjoyed neat, but works just as well in a cocktail where the vodka isn't masked.
Neat and chilled
Put the bottle in the freezer for a few hours and pour 3 cl into a small, chilled glass. Taste it neat first: you'll notice how much smoother it is than regular vodka.
Small glasses →Vodka Lime
50 ml Esbjærg Copper with 15 ml lime juice and 10 ml sugar syrup over ice in a highball glass, topped up with 100 ml sparkling water. Fresh, dry, and simple.
Highball glasses →With tonic
40 ml Esbjærg Copper with 150 ml tonic in a balloon glass full of ice and a lime wheel. Its grainy bite holds up well against the bitterness of the tonic.
Balloon glasses →Cocktails that let Copper shine
Choose recipes with few ingredients so the smooth texture of the copper distillate remains noticeable.

Espresso Martini
Vodka, fresh espresso, and coffee liqueur. Copper's silky smoothness makes the foam velvety.
Vodka Martini
Vodka with a splash of dry vermouth, stirred until cold. This is where the grainy bite comes through best.
Cosmopolitan
Vodka, triple sec, cranberry, and lime. Copper gives it a sturdier backbone.
Gimlet
Classic with gin, but with vodka and lime, it makes a dry, crisp version of the Vodka Lime.More Esbjærg flavors
